Any substitutes for Nizoral (ketoconazole shampoo)?

I have this dandruff condition, which is only truly a problem when I live with hard water. Anyway, it's apparently fungal (yeah, well, it's more common than you think)...


and my insurance isn't covering it. So,


why not?


And, what natural treaments can I use so I don't have to pay $37.00 for something that didn't cure me last time any old way?

If I remember correctly, Neutrogena T-Sal is effective for dandruff. I've used it with T-Gel (the shampoo with tar) for my scalp psoriasis and liked it quite a lot. I also recommend some type of tea tree shampoo (you can find these at any hair salon) just because it'll makes your scalp feel tingly (and tea tree's an acclaimed anti-fungal and anti-bacterial).
